If you are looking to have easy access to everything in downtown Keene, then the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott would be the best hotel in Keene. The Fairfield Inn & Suites is a great affordable hotel in the heart of the downtown district of Keene, NH. This cozy and centrally located hotel has large guest rooms with windows overlooking the main street and historic district, making this the Best Hotel in Keene.
The hotel is a beautiful 19th century architecture with modern upgrades that will enhance your comfort. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy, with great amenities that only a Fairfield Inn can offer. Moreover, this hotel offers free parking in their reserved section on Wells Street and Church Street parking structure. Although it is not connected to the building it is a very short walk to the parking structure. However, the Main Street in front of the hotel does have meter parking, which can be advantageous when arriving with a lot of luggage.
Amenities
Some of the amenities include free Wi-Fi, gym access, and a free breakfast buffet that is served every morning. Breakfast times can vary; therefore, it is best to inform yourself of the times upon checking into the hotel. The breakfast buffet is served with a coffee bar in a banquet room towards the back of the hotel. Some of the items that were offered for breakfast included muffins, bacon, sausage, eggs, and bagels.
After breakfast, if you feel the need to burn some calories, the hotel gym offers access to treadmills and weights. This can be helpful if you need a quick workout to start your day or end your evening. However, if you prefer to walk outdoors, there are plenty of sidewalks surrounding the hotel and downtown district.

Atmosphere
The hotel lobby is cozy with a fireplace and a small sitting area. The lobby also has a coffee and hot tea bar that offers complimentary water and plastic cups. Both walls in the lobby have a brick façade that adds to the cozy historic ambience of the building. In addition to coffee and tea, the front desk has snacks and bottled water for sale in case you are in a pinch and need a little pick me up.
Our overall experience with the hotel was pleasant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, making check-in a breeze. Moreover, they were always available to answer questions and assist with towels or other toiletries when needed.

The rooms are exceptional with their large windows, comfortable pillow top mattresses and updated showers. Yet, even with their modern upgrades they still offer a historic feel that permeates throughout the rooms and building. During our visit, we felt a sense of coziness that only a true quintessential New England town can offer during the fall months. What my wife and I enjoyed the most about the hotel was the central location and its access to everything. Nothing describes the autumn season better than having the ability to walk to a coffee shop first thing in the morning. My wife and I also enjoyed morning and evening walks every day and we took advantage of the nearby restaurants that were only a few blocks away.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites is a great choice if you are visiting Keene or if you are planning a New England trip. The hotel and town are close to several state borders and many other attractions that are renowned throughout the year. The hotel building is aesthetically pleasing, the location is fantastic, and the staff is wonderful. This is the best hotel in Keene and a great option for anyone who is traveling and looking for a comfortable and relaxing experience.
