Michigan has some of the best summers in North America. The State is filled with freshwater lakes. There are over 11,000 inland lakes in Michigan that are 5 acres in size or larger (www.canr.msu.edu). This allows for an abundance of opportunities for water sports, boating, fishing or just floating around a lake in a raft or inner tube. Northern Michigan is especially fun in the summer months as it has some of the larger lakes with adjacent small towns that offer restaurants, shopping, and accommodations that will ensure long lasting memories for anyone who ventures there.

Michigan at its Finest

Michigan has some of the clearest lakes in the world as you can see in the picture above of Lake Huron.
